She is working to develop models for land, water, and energy systems that benefit frontline communities. Faye brings a mix of legal, policy, and advocacy skills. Previously, she was senior counsel for the National Wildlife Federation’s Gulf of Mexico Program and democratic legislative counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. She learned to develop community-focused projects in connection with lawsuit settlements when she was of counsel at a private law firm in Gretna, Louisiana. Her work has been dedicated to improving the management of natural resources for the necessary use and enjoyment of all people, wildlife, and the planet.
Faye earned a J.D. at Southern University Law Center and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of New Orleans. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. Faye has served as a facilitator with the Just Transition Law Institute and is a member of the legal advisory group of Louisiana’s Climate Initiatives Task Force. Additionally, Faye is an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School in New Orleans, LA. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and engaging in outdoor activities, especially hiking and kayaking.
