Krewe & Kin Winter Conversation

January 16

On January 16th, Taproot Earth will host its first of a series of conversations titled Krewe + Kin. This quarters’ topic is Climate, Human Rights & Catholic Colonialism, which will explore the intersections of the climate crisis’ colonial roots and the role of the Catholic Church in creating harm and finding opportunities and paths for repair. This conversation will be hosted by Colette Pichon Battle, Vision & Initiatives Partner at Taproot Earth, and feature Dr. Maeve O’Rourke of the Human Rights Institute at the University of Galway in Ireland with contributions from Taproot Earth Board Member Kate Barron Alicante and Taproot Earth Strategy Partner Anthony Giancatarino.  Human Rights lawyer Bill Quigley of Loyola University at New Orleans will be joining the conversation. The session will be recorded before a live audience of regional frontline leaders and human rights advocates.

We look forward to having friends, family, allies and partners join us for these cross-sector discussions. The space has been curated to advance community building, power sharing and healing. For further information, send an email to peace@taproot.earth.
